Antwerp, Charleroi and Liège qualify for the semi-finals
Monday 12th December 2022

Telenet Giants Antwerp - Stella Artois Leuven Bears 79-49 (71-79)

Beaten 79-71 in Leuven on Friday in the first leg, Tenelet Giants Antwerp completely reversed the situation on Sunday at the Lotto Arena. The Antwerp team had the upper hand on Stella Artois Leuven Bears, whose shooting percentages were too low to be able to compete. The Giants' collective made the difference with four of their five players having exceeded the 10-point mark. Antwerp is now in the last four and will face Liège Basket in the semi-finals.

Circus Brussels - RSW Liège Basket 79-79 (78-92)

It was in the first leg that the qualification was played between Liège Basket and Circus Brussels. Trailing by 22 points on Friday in Huy, Brussels managed to limit the damage (78-92) ahead of the return game. But it wasn't enough because Liège managed their advantage well in the return. Everything was still possible at the break (40-31) but the third quarter turned to the advantage of the visitors thanks to Brieuc Lemaire (18 points) and Niels Van Den Eynde (23 points). For the first time since 2018, Liege is in the semi-finals.

Spirou Charleroi - Kangoeroes Mechelen 90-74 (75-87)

Spirou made a nice comeback to eliminate Kangoeroes. After having mismanaged the last minutes of the first game in Mechelen by conceding an 8-0 at the end (87-75), Spirou found the mental resources to catch up in the second game. In the Dome, Charleroi took control of the game very quickly and showed a very good percentage in long range shots. Like Alex Libert (15 points) who made four three-pointers in the second half. On the Malinois side, Brian Fobbs was much more discreet with 5 points while the American winger had scored 25 points in the first game. Finalists in 2020, Spirou will face Limburg or Ostend in the semi-finals.

Hubo Limburg United - FILOU Oostende 73-70

Limburg United used the home advantage from the first leg to surprise Ostend on Friday at the Alverberg. While Limburg managed to gain a small advantage in the first half (39-34), FILOU Oostende responded after the break by creating a gap of eight points (49-57). But a little later, the Limburgers put up a fatal 15-0 run that allowed them to come out on top. Jonas Delalieux finished with 24 points and 8 rebounds. The return game will take place in Ostend on Tuesday.
